Helsingborg is a coastal city port in southern Sweden close to Denmark, once the gate to the Øresund in the medieval times together with its twin city, Helsingør in Denmark. It´s just 20 minutes by boat between the cities of Helsingborg and Helsingør – between Sweden and Denmark, the world´s oldest twin cities. Historic Helsingborg, with its many old buildings, is a scenic coastal city. The buildings are a blend of old-style stone-built churches and a 600-year-old medieval fortress (Kärnan) in the city centre, and more modern commercial buildings. The streets vary from wide avenues to small alley-ways. Kullagatan, the main pedestrian shopping street in the city, was the first pedestrian shopping street in Sweden.

But also during the rest of the year you can find a wide variety of culture, food, sport and experiences in Helsingborg. Helsingborg is also a city full of beauty. Architectural sights that extend from the early Middle Ages via the functional style to the present day.
